Thursday, 15 July 2010 09:54

Somerset-based PR consultancy ADPR is hosting a seminar on the best ways for local businesses to get their story onto the broadcast news agenda - TV, radio and websites.  The workshop is designed to help businesses in the current media environment - the changing face of news, developments in digital media, the immediacy of news and the sheer availability of it combined with the increased pressure of time crunched newsrooms.  The first in a series of breakfast workshops for local businesses, ‘making the most of broadcast media’ will be held on Tuesday 27 July.

The media workshop will be run by well known media broadcaster and presenter Tracey Clarke.  In addition to tips on how to make your story count in lightening quick time, Tracey will cover interviewing tips and techniques, how to handle tricky questions, being a spokesperson and a look behind the scenes of radio / TV.

The workshop will take place on Tuesday 27 July from 8.30am - 10am, at ADPR’s West Lambrook-based offices: New Cross Court, West Lambrook, Somerset TA13 5HZ.  The course costs £10 per person, including breakfast (a percentage of the fee will be donated to the Muscular Help Foundation).  There are a limited number of places and booking is advisable.  To book your place please call Polly Tyekiff on 01460 241641 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
