05-01-2007:CRUISER PAR EXCELLENCE, THE BÉNÉTEAU OCEANIS 43 DEBUTS AT THE LONDON BOAT SHOW(ALSO AVAILABLE IN LONDON BOAT SHOW PRESS PACKS)

Ancasta, the largest boat sales network in Europe, will showcase the new Bénéteau Oceanis 43 at the Collins Stewart London Boat Show. Straight from its launch in Paris, where its stunning interior and design caught the attention of both press and visitors, this is the first opportunity to view the Oceanis 43 in the UK.

The new Oceanis 43 completes the four boat Beret Racoupeau hallmarked range, fitting neatly between the Oceanic 40, 46 and 50.

With the interior designed by the Italian Nauta Design office, the Oceanis 40 offers a choice of two accommodation layouts of two and three cabins. Designed for long distance and blue water sailing, the interior features numerous stowage spaces and shelves, plumbing and electrical functions grouped together for ease of use, as well as two types of galley for use when heeled. This can be as a U shape, or linear option. Even the positioning of handrails, comfortable seating and ergonomic cockpit ensure that everything has been thought of to secure a balanced, seaworthy and durable performance cruiser.

The versatility of this vessel ensures that at sea or at anchor, the Oceanis 43 can be handled completely safely, whether fully crewed or short-handed.

Key features of the Bénéteau Oceanis 43 include a large cockpit with twin wheels, electric windlass and 220V standard. Two layout versions are available in both a standard or exclusive option. Version one consists of a large master cabin and one head with two aft cabins sharing another head. Version two consists of a front cabin and one aft cabin both with their own heads.

The starboard saloon is brightly lit from 24 sources and features a u-shaped saloon with a six/eight seater settee with stowage, a central settee with further stowage, an inlaid saloon table with units, plus shelves and bar stowage.

The non-slip deck of the Oceanis 43 is constructed of a glass fibre and balsa sandwich ensuring optimum strength/weight ratio as well as providing excellent sound and heat insulation. A Yanmar 54 HP engine with drive shaft transmission is compartment insulated with soundproofing foam to reduce noise.

Other Bénéteau models featuring on Ancasta stand NO80 at the London Boat Show include the Oceanis 323, 343, 43 & 50, plus the First 21.7, 31.7, 34.7 & 50.
