Press Release
22-02-2007:NEW BOAT TECHNOLOGY AT BRIGHTON MARINA EVENT
Have you ever been short of self-assurance whilst mooring your boat and braced yourself for that sickening crunch? Ancasta, Europe’s largest boat sales network, will show you the answer at its IPS Weekend taking place at Brighton Marina. The event on Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 March 2007 from 10am till 4pm will demonstrate Volvo’s revolutionary Inboard Performance System boat handling technology.
It can take large amounts of patience, time and effort to manoeuvre a boat into an allocated marina space. Home to over 1600 craft, Brighton Marina has witnessed many a skipper experience trouble when judging those last couple of feet to the dock.
Ancasta’s IPS Weekend will display the highly acclaimed IPS Joystick, a new docking device from Volvo, which takes the effort out of parking, enabling boats to be manoeuvred around tight corners, walk sideways and even rotate on the spot – all at the touch of a joystick!
“Our owners have been tremendously impressed by the safety and ease of Volvo IPS, which we fit in practically all of our 38’ and 41’ cruisers. In fact, many would never consider returning to a conventional shaft-drive boat. The everyday advantages of IPS such as hugely reduced sound levels, lack of sooty exhaust and improved economy, only add to the sensational handling characteristics of the Rodman Yachts we fit.” Comments Hugh Rayner, Ancasta’s Rodman UK Sales Manager. “Once you have driven these boats, it is immediately obvious why customers are drawn to them – it simply removes all the pressure from the crew – and that confidence is great to see.”
Visitors will also be able to view boats on the water and question Ancasta’s qualified ABYA (Association of Brokers and Yacht Agents) staff on brokerage issues.
With the sailing season about to start, you may be thinking about splashing out and making that first purchase or selling up and upgrading your boat. Ancasta’s IPS Weekend
offers the perfect opportunity to connect boat sellers and buyers through Ancasta’s unique database of 16,000 potential boat buyers and 1,300 boats listed for sale.
