Founded in 1979, Halyard is a privately owned company and employs nearly one hundred staff in the UK. Its headquarters are based in Salisbury, with a manufacturing base in Portsmouth. Through acquisitions, Halyard has recently expanded and is now the first company worldwide to be able to manufacture entire exhaust systems in-house. This is achieved through sister companies Halyard Fabrications, based at Bournemouth, that manufactures the stainless steel exhaust components used in marine exhaust systems, and Cerambond, also based near Portsmouth, a specialist producer of exhaust hose and silicon exhaust products.
Through distributors, Halyard supplies marine exhaust silencers and a range of airborne, exhaust and structural noise reduction products including HMI noise insulation throughout the world. The company has also developed a number of innovative products including Exhaust Alert, an important safety product for in-board engines, Wavestream bilge filter systems and is the sole UK distributor for the internationally recognised Aquadrive vibration control system.
Supplying superyachts, power boats, sailing yachts, canal narrow boats, defence and commercial craft, Halyard is an ISO9001 accredited company with an excellent customer service record. It recently achieved its ISO9001:2000 upgrade in record time. A technical support and bespoke design team is based at Salisbury and the company's aim is to despatch all stock items within 24 hours!
