Whether you are prepping your boat for spring or planning your next adventure, having the right safety equipment is essential. Orolia is the world leader in resilient positioning, navigation and timing (PNT) solutions that improve the reliability, performance and safety of customers’ critical, remote or high-risk operations.
Its new range of grab bags, being added to the McMurdo and Kannad product portfolio, have been designed to help boaters and adventurers store their vital safety equipment safely and securely.
Sean McCrystal, Senior Marine Marketing Manager for Orolia Maritime, parent company of McMurdo and Kannad brands says, “Preparation is vital for safety whether you are on the water or planning land based adventures. It’s important that you can reply on your vital bit of kit and be ready in the event of an emergency. The new McMurdo and Kannad grab bags have been designed to make it easy for you to pack and carry critical survival kit and they’re made of high quality, durable and waterproof PVC.”
The new range in the trademark Kannad yellow colour or McMurdo orange colour, is available in three variations – a 3L single shoulder bag, a larger 42L double shoulder back pack and a 42L duffle bag.
The 3L single shoulder bag, SSP £24.95 (ex VAT) is perfect when you are planning an all day adventure and can be packed with an EPIRB or PLB, water, high energy food and also has a place to keep your phone and car keys.**
The 42L double shoulder back pack, SSP £49.95 (ex VAT), is ideal when planning weekend adventures. Additional items recommended for packing in addition to the suggestions for the 3L shoulder bag include flares, a knife, handheld GPS, VHF radio, medication, torch and batteries.
The 42L duffle bag, SSP £45.79 (ex VAT), is great for adventures that will be traveling into more remote regions, blue water sailors or extreme land adventurers. These bags should be equipped with the same recommendations of the 42L backpack and additional equipment like a satellite phone, water maker, laser flare, fishing kit and repair kits for a life raft.
The grab bags are available from 1 February 2018.
