Specialists in advanced ballistic armour and protection solutions for the marine industry, Air Sea Land Group (ASL GRP), will return to Seawork 2026 to showcase its latest lightweight survivability technologies designed to protect vessels, personnel and mission-critical systems in increasingly complex maritime environments.
From Stand A9, ASL GRP will showcase a selection of its latest ballistic and blast protection solutions, including its new, removable ballistic outboard engine covers, advanced blast suppression systems, and next-generation Infra-Red Reflective (IRR) and Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) shielding technologies.

An industry-first development, ASL GRP’s ballistic outboard engine covers will be unveiled for the first time at Seawork 2026. The new ballistic outboard engine covers provide removable, non-invasive protection for exposed propulsion systems without permanent modification to OEM engines, offering rapid deployment and mission-based adaptability while protecting one of the most vulnerable points on fast craft.
The new ballistic outboard engine covers will also be on display, fitted to a model vessel on the ASL GRP stand, as well as in the marina – including police boats and high-speed vessels with leading engines manufacturers – through partnerships with major OEM and industry leaders. This is intended to give visitors a real-world demonstration of how modern armour protection can be applied to fast patrol craft, RIBs, crew transfer boats and high-speed combat vessels, without compromising performance or manoeuvrability.
Jonathon Diffey, Managing Director of ASL GRP, comments, “The threats across the maritime environment are evolving rapidly, driven by developments across unmanned systems, sensor-led targeting and the convergence of electronic and kinetic threats. Our focus is ensuring protection maintains mobility, reduces detectability and preserves operational capability in real-world conditions. Seawork is a key platform for us to showcase how our new lightweight composite armour can be applied practically and to discuss how to integrate the protection into active fleets.”
ASL GRP’s integrated Infra-Red Reflective (IRR) and Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) technology, available for demonstration on ASL GRP’s stand, are available as optional add-on features with products like the new outboard engine covers. The upgraded systems are designed for modern maritime operations where threats increasingly include UAVs, USVs, sensor-led targeting and electronic disruption, alongside traditional ballistic and blast risks. ASL GRP’s IRR and EMP solutions focus on maintaining mobility, propulsion and operational capability under threat, rather than simply structural protection.
Lightweight blast suppression systems will also be showcased, including ASL GRP’s blast blankets which were recently rated as having the highest level of ballistic protection on the market – with a velocity of up to 700m/s – as well as ASL GRP’s range of composite armour options.
Reinforcing its role across the industry, ASL GRP has been announced as this year’s Seawork 2026 MoD (UK Ministry of Defence) Networking Lunch sponsor, which will take place on Wednesday 10 June 2026, from midday to 1pm, in Hall 3 at the Workboat Association Pavilion. Jonathon adds, “Seawork provides us and many other maritime organisations with the opportunity to connect and engage with key defence stakeholders, procurement teams and maritime operators, offering a clear pathway to explore next-generation protection needs and potential solutions.”

Maritime exhibitors, visitors, industry stakeholders and operators are invited to visit Stand A9 at Seawork 2026, to see ASL GRP’s latest innovations and discuss emerging maritime protection requirements.
