Fairline Yachts secures double nomination in prestigious global awards

Luxury British boat builder, Fairline Yachts, announces it has been shortlisted for two esteemed global awards, the Asia Boating Awards and the UK’s Motor Boat Awards. Fairline’s Squadron 53 has been nominated for the Best Flybridge Yacht (up to 55ft) in the Asia Boating Awards and the Targa 43 OPEN, which made its worldwide debut at Cannes Yachting Festival 2018, is shortlisted in the Sportscruisers up to 45ft category at Motor Boat & Yachting’s Motor Boat Awards.

David Tydeman, Executive Chairman at Fairline Yachts, comments, “We’re so pleased that two of our models have been shortlisted in these highly prestigious global awards. The Asia Boating Awards are a highlight for the region’s yachting industry and the Motor Boat Awards are one of the UK’s most highly anticipated boating celebrations. We’re humbled to have received this recognition by the esteemed judging panels and we look forward to attending both award ceremonies.”

Presented at a lavish ceremony held during the Singapore Yacht Show on 10 April 2019, the Asia Boating Awards are the most prestigious yachting awards in the Asia-Pacific region and are widely respected throughout the world.

Shortlisted in the hotly contested Best Flybridge Yacht (up to 55ft) category, Fairline’s Squadron 53 – which will take centre stage on the Fairline stand (pontoon B, berth 8) at the Singapore Yacht Show – has been crafted with Alberto Mancini’s award-winning design expertise. Characterised by a luxurious sense of space, the yacht is based on Fairline’s well proven 53ft hull and features a new sleek design from the deck upwards, epitomising the new era of Fairline Yachts and the hugely successful partnership with the celebrated Italian superyacht designer.

The Motor Boat Awards are hosted by Motor Boat & Yachting magazine and are judged purely on the boats’ design, ability and value for money in their chosen market place. The shortlisted contestants have each been sea-trialled and rigorously tested by the magazine’s technical experts, and the winners will be announced at the Corinthia Hotel in London on 7 May 2019.

Shortlisted in the Sportscruisers up to 45ft category, the Targa 43 OPEN has already received recognition at the World Yacht Trophies, being crowned winner of the Best Exterior Design in the 14-18m category in 2018. The sleek and stylish express cruiser also features the award-winning design of Alberto Mancini. With two large cabins and two heads, it boasts a large sunbed over the tender garage and an expansive cockpit seating area – the perfect arrangement for enjoying time on board. The twin Volvo Penta IPS 600 D6-435 engines offer a comfortable cruise at 26 knots and onwards to a maximum speed of 31 knots.
