Helly Hansen, the 140-year old Norwegian brand, takes its heritage to heart by creating some of the most protective and technical apparel for the Winter 2018 season. This year’s ski collection combines unmatched technologies to keep wearers protected from the elements, developed from the insights of ski patrollers who are on the mountain day in and day out.
Winter 2018 upgrades the most durable, award-winning freeride jacket in the Ullr collection – the Elevation Shell 2.0 Jacket. Incorporating Helly Hansen’s super abrasion-resistant 3 ply fabric, the jacket is waterproof, windproof and breathable, incorporating all the technical details to ensure safety and comfort on the mountains. The Life Pocket+™ keeps battery life of phones lasting longer in cold temperatures, while the hi-vis details keep skiers visible- even in a white out.
The women’s counterpart takes shape in the new Maroi Shell Jacket, with similar materials and all the technical aspects as the Elevation Shell 2.0. Both jackets include a removable H2Flow™ vest which allows for temperature regulation to exchange heated air faster, and mean faster cooling and a drier, more comfortable jacket interior. An added bonus is that you can use the vest on its own for uphill effort or remove from the shell when it’s not needed.
Inspiration from ski patrollers and professional athletes truly shines through in the new Garibaldi Jacket and updated ladies, W Powderqueen 2.0 Jacket. Silky jacquard camo print exteriors in Helly Tech® fabrics mixed with useful zipper and pocket designs for a new look on the slopes. Fully featured with Life Pocket™ chest pockets, hi-vis detailing for safety and better visibility, and new streamlined iterations of the H2Flow temperature regulation system will make long days out in the snow even better.
As the younger generations continue to start younger, their ski kit needs to keep up. The new JR Skyhigh Jacket for juniors takes notes from the new Ullr freeride adult jackets with Helly Tech® Performance fabrics that are waterproof, windproof and breathable. PrimaLoft® Black insulation, RECCO® Advanced Rescue system inclusion, zip ventilation and Life Pocket™ technology are all features that complete this hi-tech junior jacket.
Each new jacket to the Ullr ski collection aims to keep its wearer protected, dry and comfortable, whether at the resort or on top big mountain peaks.
