Performance Marine Group (PMG), a global leader in high-performance boating, announces the opening of its brand-new 23,000 sq ft boatbuilding facility located at 1-51/57 Advantage Avenue, Morisset 2264, dedicated to the production of world-class ILCA boats. This major investment marks a significant milestone for the Australian sailing industry and reinforces Performance Marine Group’s commitment to local manufacturing, innovation, and community engagement.
Currently, more than 50 ILCA boats are in production at the site, with demand for these Olympic-class vessels steadily rising both locally and internationally. The facility is equipped with cutting-edge technologies, including advanced carbon fibre manufacturing processes, which are enabling the team to develop a new innovative, high-performance boat range that will be launched later this year.

The Morisset facility has already created six new jobs, with additional positions to be announced shortly as production ramps up. In a move to support future industry talent, the company has also welcomed two local high school students into its new work experience programme, offering them hands-on learning opportunities in the marine manufacturing sector one day a week.
