Market leader in the fast growing electric marine propulsion industry, Torqeedo, will showcase its extensive electric motor collection at this year’s TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show, on stand B080.
Many of the current Torqeedo models will be on show this year, including the award-winning Cruise Fixed Pod (FP) range – which was crowned Overall DAME Award winner at the 2016 METSTRADE Show, following its win in the Machinery, Propulsion, Mechanical and Electrical Systems and Fittings category.
Also on display will be the innovative Cruise 10.0R electric outboard. Torqeedo’s revolutionary 20HP equivalent motor can offer top speeds of 34 km/h, and a range of 30 km at 30 km/h, vessel dependant. The flagship of Torqeedo’s full line up of Cruise motors can deliver a range of up to 75 km (46 miles) at lower speed, hull dependent, producing no emissions or pollution to the environment. Completing the full range of Cruise motors at the show will be the Cruise 2.0 and 4.0 models, both of which are available in Tiller (T) or Remote-steering (R) variants.
Another model on show will be the best-selling Travel 1003. The Travel 1003 delivers over 1,000 watts of input power and is comparable with a 3HP petrol outboard. As recently announced, the Travel 1003 is now available with a new higher battery capacity option, which provides over 73 per cent greater battery capacity at an almost-identical weight to the original model. It provides the perfect power for inflatables, small boats, tenders, dingies and sailboats up to 1.5 tons.
Torqeedo’s Ultralight kayak motor will be available for viewing at TheYachtMarket.com Southampton Boat Show. Catering to the increasing popularity of kayaking in the UK, the Ultralight 403 is ideal for kayaks and canoes alike, and at only 7kg, including the battery, adds little to the overall weight of the kayak. Torqeedo also offers a new battery option with almost three times the battery capacity for the Ultralight 403, at an almost-identical weight.
Torqeedo’s UK Sales Manager, John Arnold, comments on the exhibition, “Boat shows are a focal point of our year and the Southampton Boat Show provides a great opportunity for us to showcase our latest innovations. We look forward meeting new and existing customers on the stand and discussing how we can meet their needs.”
