Word Gets Around launches innovative Business Chat Show in response to Covid-19 crisis
Taunton based business, Word Gets Around, has announced the launch of The Word Gets Around Business Chat Show in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Headed up by designer and marketeer, Paul Smith, Word Gets Around, helps local people and businesses to market themselves more effectively through an expert team of designers, marketers, magazine publishers, print experts and event hosts.
Like many businesses, many of Word Gets Around’s products and services were heavily impacted by the recent lockdown, leading Paul to consider digital opportunities for maintaining momentum and continuing its support of the local business community.
The fortnightly, Word Gets Around Business chat show, is streamed live on You Tube and each episode features an expert panel made up of Somerset business owners to provide support and to discuss important issues affecting the local business community. Viewers are encouraged to engage with the live show by asking the panel questions and contributing to discussion points.
Paul Smith, comments “Our ultimate aim is to help people and their businesses to grow, by sparking ideas, collaborations, and increasing knowledge. The idea brewed from the launching of ‘Meet the Business’, a series of short videos, where I presented informal chats with Somerset business owners. This is a hugely difficult time for everyone, and our goal is to do what we can with our services to help”.
Becky Wright, owner at New Leaf Design was a panellist on the first show and comments; “I loved being part of the show. Paul has a natural talent at making people feel at ease, and the unscripted format meant I could be my authentic self. It’s a fantastic platform to introduce the person behind the business and celebrate our strong business community.”
