The Youth Adventure Trust has announced that its flagship fundraising event, the Adventure Dinner, will take place in Somerset for the first time on Friday 14 November 2025. Hosted at the prestigious Somerset County Cricket Club, the evening will bring together corporate leaders, community champions and supporters for a night of inspiration, fine dining, and purpose-driven networking.
Designed to appeal to businesses and individuals committed to making a meaningful social impact, the Adventure Dinner offers a unique opportunity to align with a high-profile charity working directly with vulnerable young people across the South West. The event includes a drinks reception sponsored by Montel Civil Engineering, a three-course dinner with wine, on-the-night adventure-themed games and activities supported by Adventure Sponsor Leonardo Helicopters, an after-dinner speaker, and an auction – all in support of the Youth Adventure Trust’s life-changing programmes.
“This is more than a fundraising dinner; it’s a chance for businesses to become part of a young person’s journey towards confidence, resilience and hope,” said Louise Balaam, Director of Fundraising and Engagement at the Youth Adventure Trust. “We’re excited to extend this opportunity to the Somerset business community for the first time.”
The Youth Adventure Trust uses outdoor adventure to inspire young lives, supporting vulnerable 11- to 16-year-olds to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that last a lifetime. Through residential camps, activity days, mentoring and bursary support, the charity empowers young people to overcome the challenges they face and unlock their potential.
Since expanding into Somerset in 2024, the Trust is reaching even more young people in need, all of which are referred through schools or social services and face a range of personal, social or family challenges. It has ambitions to double its capacity in the county in 2026.
Each place on Youth Adventure Trust programmes is provided free of charge to the young person. The charity receives no government funding and relies entirely on the generosity of individuals, grant-making bodies and corporate partners.
The Adventure Dinner provides an impactful way for businesses to support the charity’s work while enhancing their own CSR objectives. Corporate guests are invited to:
Book a table for 10 and bring clients or colleagues for a memorable evening.
Sponsor an element of the event and gain valuable brand visibility.
Donate a prize for the auction or raffle.
Hear first-hand stories of transformation from programme alumni.
