Metstrade 2025, Amsterdam RAI | 18 – 20 November 2025 | Stand 01.704
Daniamant, a global leader in marine safety and navigation technology, returns to Metstrade 2025 with its innovative, industry-first Forward-Looking Sonar system: FLS 3D – 30 Degrees.
Taking centre stage on stand 01.704, visitors can explore how the FLS 3D – 30 Degrees is reshaping safe navigation for vessels between 29 and 60 feet. Featuring a pioneering single-transducer design, intuitive 3D imaging and world-first Average Forward Depth (AFD) feature, the FLS 3D – 30 Degrees is a compact yet powerful sonar technology providing 30° horizontal and 90° vertical forward scan, giving captains real-time 3D visuals of what lies ahead.
At the heart of the innovation is Daniamant’s industry-first Average Forward Depth (AFD) technology, boasting 20x depth-to-range of up to 200 meters forward and 100 meters in depth – which calculates and displays the average seabed depth in the vessel’s projected path. The first-of-its-kind technology around the globe, the AFD presents real-time underwater awareness for captains to analyse seabed conditions, obstacles and hazards, well before they pose a risk.
Seamlessly integrating with Raymarine Axiom Displays, via Raynet, it presents effortless touchscreen control through the EchoPilot app, with interactive split-screen sonar and chart views, 360° rotation, zoom and side-view options. The system also connects via HDMI or VGA to third-party displays, adapting to all vessels and navigation setups.
Kevin Rough, CEO at Daniamant, comments, “We are excited to showcase the FLS 3D – 30 Degrees as our headline innovation at METSTRADE 2025. Its entry into this year’s DAME Awards reflects our confidence that our innovative sonar technology not only advances the industry, but provides real-world value due to enhancing safety, improving environmental responsibility and delivering professional-grade sonar technology for every boater. From small vessels and personal boats to global and commercial fleets, the FLS 3D – 30 Degrees offers industry-leading coverage for maximum visibility and safety whilst navigating at sea. We look forward to welcoming show visitors, industry colleagues, media and exhibitors alike to the Daniamant stand to see the FLS 3D – 30 Degrees and our other industry leading products at the show.”
Responsibly designed with the environmental considerations at the forefront, the FLS 3D – 30 Degrees actively supporting seabed protection and reducing the risk of fuel spills or damage to marine ecosystems by preventing groundings. Its minimalistic design also reduces component use and supports installation with existing onboard equipment, helping to cut electronic waste and simplify installation.
The recommended retail price of the FLS 3D – 30 Degrees is €5,000, delivering the capabilities of commercial-grade sonar.
Alongside the FLS 3D – 30 Degrees, Daniamant will also showcase a selection of its latest and most trusted marine safety products and life-saving equipment, including its collection of leading lifejacket, life raft, lifebuoy and strobe lights, and distress flares:
