Walkers and runners invited to take on the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise vital funds for vulnerable young people.
The Youth Adventure Trust is thrilled to announce the return of the Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge, sponsored by Beard Construction. Taking place on Saturday 21 June, this unique challenge invites participants to walk, run or jog Wiltshire’s most iconic hills – all while raising vital funds to help local vulnerable young people build resilience, confidence and hope for the future.
Date: Saturday 21st June 2025
Location: Oare, Pewsey, Wiltshire, UK
Challenge: Run, walk or jog 10 km or a Half Marathon in Wiltshire’s most iconic hills.
Last year’s Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge saw an incredible 155 people lace up their boots and take on the hills, raising an outstanding £15,723 in support of vulnerable young people. That total was enough to fund 12 young people through a whole year on the Youth Adventure Programme.
2025’s adventure will see participants conquering the three iconic peaks of Wiltshire: Martinsell Hill, Milk Hill and Walkers Hill by taking on either a 10km or Half Marathon distance. Participants can expect a mix of challenging climbs and breathtaking views, all while helping the region’s young people.
Mark Davey, the Chief Executive of the Youth Adventure Trust says: “The Wiltshire 3 Peaks Challenge is a brilliant way for people to come together, enjoy the outdoors, and directly support local young people who are facing real challenges in their lives. Thanks to the generosity of supporters and sponsors like Beard Construction, every step taken on the hills helps fund life-changing experiences – from adventure camps to one-to-one mentoring – that give young people the resilience and confidence to thrive.”
Jamie Harwood, Director at Beard Construction Ltd, Swindon says: “At Beard, we’re committed to supporting local causes and helping to create thriving communities; it forms a core part of our community engagement efforts. Youth Adventure Trust shares our ambition to inspire the next generation we’re pleased to be supporting them once more.
“This partnership is about more than just corporate donations, it offers us volunteering opportunities, team building activities, and a meaningful shared purpose. I’m extremely proud of our colleagues’ efforts to date and look forward to seeing what other challenges we complete together.”
