Somerset Business Awards 2017 finalists are revealed

Back for its 13th year, the organisers of the prestigious Somerset Business Awards announce the eagerly anticipated finalists for 2017.

Following another outstanding year of Award entries from over 100 companies, the judges have spent weeks visiting businesses of all sizes from around the county – this year saw many new business entries as well as established ones. The finalists for each of the 14 categories have now been chosen and will find out if they will be crowned the winner at the black-tie celebratory dinner, next month.

Neil, from Higos – who judged the Business of the Year award for 51+ employees – comments, “Once again the quality of entries was extremely impressive, demonstrating the large number of high performing businesses which exist throughout Somerset. It is always a tremendous privilege for the judges to visit the shortlisted businesses, which has resulted in very strong businesses making it through to the celebratory awards ceremony in October. Congratulations to all the finalists.”

Loren Gray, Events Manager at the Somerset Chamber of Commerce, organiser of the Somerset Business Awards, adds, “We were so pleased to have received such great interest in our Awards, especially the new categories – which have seen an extraordinarily number of high quality applications. Even better to see lots of entries from businesses who have never entered before, wishing good luck to all the finalists, we look forward to celebrating with them in October.”

The Awards are sponsored by a variety of Somerset businesses from the county’s vibrant business community. Finalists and winners will be celebrated on [xx] October at the black-tie event hosted by [xxx]. The event, which is being held at Wellsprings Leisure Centre in Taunton, has become one of the most important and popular dates in the county’s business calendar.
