Transforming dredging

Launching Haven Dredging and Tiamat worldwide.

The Challenge

After a few years of research and field testing, Haven Dredging, a new subsidiary of Harwich Haven Authority – one of UK's largest trust ports – sought to introduce its revolutionary dredging solution, Tiamat, to the global market. We were tasked with developing and crafting the messaging, including a brand mission, vision, purpose and value proposition. We then worked on the messaging for the brand and product, developing a compelling brand presence, and put together an impactful strategy to engage with the target audience, whilst keeping all stakeholders aligned and informed to deliver an exciting launch.

The Solution

Our strategic approach focused on a comprehensive communication campaign, positioning Haven Dredging as pioneers in the industry. We crafted a compelling messaging framework, ensuring a consistent tone and appeal to key stakeholders. Leveraging this messaging, we developed an impactful content-led website, showcasing Tiamat’s groundbreaking technology with key information, research and calls to action.

We utilised a diverse mix of channels and tactics including earned media, by drafting a powerful launch press release and conducting targeted outreach to relevant media outlets. Additionally, we produced case studies and whitepapers alongside Haven Dredging’s partners to present interesting and thought leadership content. As part of building a strong online presence, we launched social media channels on LinkedIn and Facebook, executing a well-defined social media strategy, with consistent content plans and impactful assets.

The Results

The newly launched website recorded significant traction, attracting over 800 users and 4,800 event counts within the first three months, with 53 resource downloads. We secured 19 pieces of high-profile media coverage as a result of our media campaign, including key titles such as Dredging Today, Dredgewire, Hellenic Shipping News, and Marine and Maritime Gazette, reaching a combined audience of more than 725,000+. Moreover, we secured an exclusive interview for Haven Dredging’s Executive Director with GreenPort Magazine resulting in front cover coverage, a feature and podcast interview, positioning Haven Dredging as a thought leader to its target audience.

The team has also drafted multiple award entries, supported with investment opportunities and secured a speaking opportunity at CEDA (Central Dredging Association) pitch talks at Europort 2023 later this year, which will further enhance their credibility and influence.

On LinkedIn, Haven Dredging achieved remarkable organic reach with over 11K impressions, 402 reactions, and 50 reposts in just three months. The campaign’s ongoing momentum continues to boost brand awareness and engagement in the industry.
