Our favourite Christmas campaigns of 2020 šŸŽ„

As we all start to wind down and think about the forthcoming festivities, thereā€™s one tradition we all look forward to as the year comes to a close (particularly in the marketing world), and thatā€™s the airing of the Christmas adverts on TV. From feel-good funny moments to emotional tear-jerkers, some of our most loved brands give us a reason to feel nostalgic and cuddle up as the big day approaches. Hereā€™s some of our favourites this yearā€¦

Have you been naughty or nice? šŸŽ…

Well, according to supermarket chain, Tesco, there is no naughty after the year weā€™ve all had! Bought too much loo roll? Eaten the last cake in the cupboard? Or perhaps you ā€œdidnā€™t seeā€ the email? Itā€™s ok, Father Christmas is forgiving us all and we can avoid the dreaded lump of coal in 2020.

So, enjoy the extra treats and indulge this Christmas:

Are you #ReindeerReady? šŸ¦Œ

Pulling on the heartstrings and reigniting the magic of the festive season, McDonaldā€™s gets it spot on this year with a sweet animation of a young boy fighting his inner child to re-live the fun festivities and get involved in his annual family traditions.

Letā€™s face it, no one can resist a snowball fight and who doesnā€™t want to give Rudolph and the gang their carrots?! Weā€™ll definitely be #ReindeerReady this year:

The show must go on ā„ļø

Continuing the emotive theme, Amazon gives us all a reason to smile this season, as we follow a determined ballerinaā€™s dream to star in her dance show. Sadly, as the global pandemic introduces new restrictions, her training and dreams seem dashedā€¦ But, with the power of the community (and some super quick delivery from the online retailer), her dreams can still come true, as her neighbours help her take centre stage and perform in her own show.

And I think we speak for everyone when we say, long may this wonderful spirit continue:

Last but not least, the one we all look forward toā€¦ John Lewis and Partners.

Simply illustrating how we all deserve a little more love and thought this year, John Lewis and Waitrose joined forces again to highlight the amazing domino effect of thinking of others and sharing the kindness in the world. So simple, yet so powerful.

And to think it was nearly cancelled after the pandemic. Well, weā€™re pleased they didnā€™t:
